✅ Use Good-Quality Paper
As with most of my printables, I always recommend printing on a heavier paper like cardstock. It holds up better, especially with paint or ink, and gives the final result a more polished look.

✅ Choose the Right Ink or Paint
You can use non-toxic washable paint (great for younger kids), or ink pads if you want less mess and more detail in the handprint. Just make sure the surface you print on can handle it (another reason cardstock helps!).
✅ Bonus Touch: Add a Heart
Want to make it even more adorable? Cut out a small heart from paper and place it right in the center of the palm or directly onto the printable before stamping the hand. When you press the hand down, it’ll leave a sweet heart shape right in the middle of the handprint — such a simple detail, but it adds a really special touch to the final piece!
